Manticore Deathstrike Missle Armageddon

I am addicted to buying models off of eBay. My first vehicle is a Manticore with a Deathstrike Missle.

Leman Russ Forge World Conversions

I made my first Forge World order when I ordered the VANQUISHER GRYPHONNE IV CONVERSION KIT. After a few weeks, the kit arrived in the mail. The only problem was that the cannon was bent.

The Forge World customer service told me to put it in hot water and straighten it out. Believe it or not, it worked!

I am continuing to work on it, and will post pictures of the final product.

My latest items from eBay arrived yesterday. It's a GW Rough Rider model.  Here is GW's description and image of this model:
 
"Like Armoured Fist squads, Rough Rider squads are often attached to infantry companies to provide some fast moving support. They can carry a variety of weapons, but the most famous is without a doubt the explosive-tipped hunting lance." 

I spent the evening yesterday working on painting the model, but with a new theme other than the Attilan look. So I used all the pieces of the model except the torso/head piece. Instead, I used a spare IG Cadian torso from my bitz box. I also needed to come up with a solution for a left arm since the original torso/head also had the left arm connected. I decided to use a left arm from the Cadian Command Squad with the color flag.

After magnetizing the new arm, the next task was to find a base for the model. I only had a round slotted base, so that ended up being the only choice I had. I might need to find a rectangular base, since the small rounded base upsets the balance of the model.

Next, was the color scheme, and I decided on a red and bronze scheme for the rider, and a tan for the horse. Here is what I have so far:

I have not really decided on a head yet. The only ones that I currently have in my bitz collection are Cadian Infantry or tank troopers. I want something really different, so i might need to get online to try to find something that works with my cavalry non Attilan motif.

My Father's Day Present

My beautiful wife gave me the best present a guy could ask for. A Hydra Flak Tank from Forge World. I am so excited! Forge World items are expensive, because it is in England. This means that the price for shipping can be higher. Not to mention the fact that Forge World resin modles are the best on hte market, and therefore, quite expensive. I am counting down the days until it arrives!
